Snow...seriously?

We've been enjoying some pretty warm weather the last few weeks. We've had a good bit of rain too. Lots of flowers are popping up, some trees are starting to get buds and leaves, even our rose bushes are starting to bloom. And then this morning, in typical fashion for Indiana, pre-Final Four, it starts snowing. Fortunately, nothing accumulated. The sky looks like it's going to snow any moment, but it's above the freezing mark so hopefully we'll only get more rain.

Speaking of rose bushes, friends of ours were kind enough to give us theirs, since they didn't want them anymore. We transplanted 10 of their 12 bushes, and so far 8 of them are showing signs of life. I can't honestly remember what color roses they'll have so that'll be a nice surprise.

Our yard is a nice dark shade of green. Ahhhh, Spring. Love it! We mulched over the weekend. New mulch makes everything look crisp and clean and is a nice contrast to the green bushes and sprouting flowers.

Kyle finished up basketball a few weeks ago. Softball starts in 2 weeks I believe. His niece also starts another year of softball. She is 9 and they will finally play by the rules we all know and love... stealing bases, pitching to each other without the help of the coaches, etc. I really enjoy going to Kyle's games and cheering him on. Likewise, we enjoy going to the games of our nieces and nephews and seeing how they improve from year to year. These kids are growing up too quickly!

Surprise colored roses? Awesome! Sounds like your garden is going to shape up nicely. We had lovely weather this Sunday and tried to clean up our small patio garden. I can't wait for things to start blooming hear! :D
