A little of this, a little of that

So much has been going on. Matthew took his first steps 2 days after he turned 10 months. He now walks with confidence, even tries to run. A few days after that, he got his first tooth and now has 4 total. He learned to play peek-a-boo and tries to get me to play pretty much every day. He just started learning to wave hi and bye. He magically started eating food. He's a pretty picky eater, but he doesn't choke or gag like he did and we're slowly adding in new food. He's 11 months. I can't fathom almost being done with formula and bottles. I'm not ready to admit yet that he's a toddler and not a baby. We just bought for him his first pair of real sneakers. Oh dear.

We all had a bad stomach bug, Matthew starting at 5:30 at Thanksgiving dinner, Kyle getting it early Friday morning and me getting it Friday night. Not fun!!

That leads me to the next topic...fertility meds and trying to get pregnant. This was our second month of fertility meds. The timing of the stomach bug could not have been worse. I'm 98% sure we couldn't have gotten pregnant. The other 2% is hope reserved for God working another miracle. So we're taking a break for a couple months. It's not fun anymore. Need to regroup.

Kyle starts up basketball again in a few weeks. Very much looking forward to that. I didn't get to go to a lot of games last year because of having a newborn at home. The games should be interesting now that Matthew can walk and he never sits still.

December always seems to fly by. We have 2 Christmas parties, Matthew's birthday party, Christmas with Kyle's dad's family, Christmas with Kyle's mom's family, Christmas day and Matthew's birthday, which I think we might be going to the Children's Museum or the zoo. I love the Christmas season and this year will be so much more fun for us with Matthew.
